ITS A FAMILY AFFAIR

Ojoun Limited is built on a rich legacy of merit.

The first photograph is of our Founder’s family. It was taken in 1923, while our Founder’s grandmother was away in the UK, studying classical music — the piano was her major instrument.

Our Founder’s great grandfather’s decision to fund his oldest daughter’s studies in the UK during Britain’s inter-war era, her successful return to Lagos in 1923, and for her to major in an unusual subject — at a time when relics of Victorian and Edwardian attitudes relegating a lowly role to women were prevalent in British colonial Nigeria — all of this demonstrates the family’s pioneering ethos and global outlook.

Ojoun Limited was established on this compelling 100-year foundation.

The second photograph is of our Founder’s grandmother, Yetunde Brown, in 1959 playing the piano in her home at 49 Broad Street, Lagos, Nigeria. Yetunde Brown was a concert pianist, and in her later years she taught piano to students at home. Shown here, her custom-made piano which has her name etched in gold inside the keyboard cover, is a family heirloom.

Carefully-chosen, international exposure is a hallmark of the family, propelling them to greater intellectual heights.

Ojoun Limited originates from this rich tradition. The lasting legacy influences our guiding principles as a company, it underpins our commitment to exceptional quality, and is the reason for our legendary attention to detail.
